NARR: 07AZUR0101/06NM Color: Black Ears: Standard Coat: Satin Markings: Self D.O.B. 12/13/2007 D.O.D. 06/28/2010 Litter Page: Wheeler x Vito Litter at AZUR Breeding Status: Pet Only, Never Bred Cause of Death: Died at home after a decline in health due to age. Necropsy showed weight loss, as was noted over the last several months he was with us, and lung scarring and abscesses consistent with mycoplasma infection, though he had no significant respiratory difficulties until the day he passed. No signs of tumors or other problems were noted, and his death seems to be consistant with some respiratory difficulties and mainly age related problems. Show Results: NIRO 2008 show - 1st place ribbon in the lowest level (but he was the only one in his group! :D) We had fun though! RFL 2008 show - shown, did not place. Still had loads of fun! Both shows his silvering was remarked on - his satin coat did not show well for the RFL show, but he received compliments on his personality as well as conformation. Exact notes will be posted when I find my notes from the shows! :) Notes: Chortle was picked up with his brother Squishy when they were about 6 weeks old. Very sweet and inquisitive personality. Loves to explore and visit everyone. Very sociable with other animals, including rats and cats. Gives lots of kisses and happily accepts handling! Chortle has had some silvering of his coat since he was young, but with his satin coat it makes him look all the more sparkley. Chortle suffered from hind end weakness in his last few months, but it never seemed to slow him down much. He also had some balding of his fur, noisy breathing, and weight loss, but remained very bright, relatively active, kissy, and sweet right up to the end, even playing with the younger guys like Perseus. His health problems seems more related to age than any specific ailment or illness, and he didn't let them get in the way of being a happy, loving guy. |
