We decided it would be best to keep Tissy here for treatment, and also so that we could monitor her health more closely, with her sister Trullibub taking her place with Jarmara. She is the only one of the litter (and in the rattery at the time at all) who showed any symptoms, which makes us concerned she may be more susceptible to infection. Despite this she's a very sweet and friendly girl, who enjoys playing with her sister and loves to give kisses. We will be monitoring her closely. Assuming this initial problem clears up without any future issues, she may still be eligible as a potential backup for our breeding plans, but only if she has good long term health without recurring respiratory problems. Currently it is most likely she will live here as one of our well loved pets only. Tissy's respiratory problems cleared up on their own over a couple months, but she remains a bit smaller than her siblings. Due to her early health issues, we currently are keeping her as a pet only, though if needed we may re-evaluate that if she does not show any further health issues. Tissy is a VERY sweet girl, always the first at the door wanting to come out, not hesitating to explore, run around, almost reckless in her willingness to leap before she looks and trust that someone will be there to catch her! She loves to give kisses and always wants attention. We hope she continues to do well with her respiratory issues and can keep being her happy, playful self! |
