Physical Descriptions: Tall, slim, muscled. Naturally tanned skin darkened from much time spent outdoors, with bright turquoise tattoos - wings with an owl face on her back. Her hair was once almost black in color, but has turned white with age. Bright blue/teal eyes. Her left leg is missing from the knee down, with a wood replacement in place to aid in getting around. Often smiling, with a mischievous and knowing sparkle to her eyes. Walks with a staff with a longbow attached in a custom fashion at the handhold, allowing her to use the staff to take her weight when walking but still raise it to shoot the bow if needed. When seen she usually moves slowly with a limp, but manages to get places more quickly than would be expected otherwise. Almost always followed by a pale, nearly white barred owl named Snowfeather, though various other critters seem to recognize her (and her food bribes in exchange for their assistance).
Skills: She can move more quickly than expected and quietly. She has a good affinity with animals (potentially helped by treats), and can get her hands on quite a bit of knowledge if she wants to due to her position.

Personality: Observant and quiet at times, but with a good sense of humor and very willing to speak her mind, and poke fun at others. Mischievous at times. She can be stubborn about certain things, from a lifetime of learning from her own mistakes. Generally caring and looking to help others, especially those who have proven themselves to deserve such aid. Often seem to know way more about what is going on than she should. Calm and patient in most cases, though she will push people and make her mind known if they aren't doing what she thinks is best.
Background: Kadlin has a long history, serving with her husband in the Order of Whispers as a team battling the Sons of Svanir and their desire to push the influence of Jormag further. A mistake and miscalculation on the part of her and her husband resulted in them being overwhelmed, leading to his death and the loss of her leg. A proud grandmother, her son and his wife had two children and her daugher and her husband had a daughter, Yoki. The Svanir's attack 10 years ago or so on a settlement in the northern foothills took the lives of her son and his family, as well as destroying her home there while she was away. Her daughter's family moved up to the south area of the foothills from the Timberline area to allow her to move in with them without having to travel so far. Her family has a tendency toward being Spirit Shamen, with one in each generation having a stronger connection to the spirits making them the candidate. Her son was to be her successor, but her granddaughter, Yoki (her daughter Huyana's daughter) was to be his successor, having shown herself gifted with the same skill shortly after her uncle's death. Kadlin helps to guide her and teach her their family's ways and path in a very freeform manner, encouraging her to discover much of it on her own. She has also moved from a more physically active role in the Whispers to that of a more academically active one, being a keeper and often involved in analyzing and sorting through reports and data that come in. She has recently taken one of the young sylvari agents, Saileach Gealach, under her wing to help with her training after some drama with her previous teacher in the Order. Kadlin is very dedicated to the Spirit she serves, though she does not speak specifically of which it is to many. Despite her apparent handicap she is often seen in a wide range of places throughout Tyria, investigating situations that interest her.
Current Activities: As a keeper for the Order of Whispers she is heavily involved in their research and records, mostly from her home. She helps to take care of the shrines in the Lost Spirits Grotto, as well as travelling around the Shiverpeaks to other Shrines and areas, seemingly seeking something. She has also taken a whispers agent, Sally as a student, to offer instruction to from time to time.
