Quiet but inquisitive about things around her. Background: A human squad sneak attack on a small charr camp prooved successful in wiping out a warband - mostly. A newborn cub was found in the wreckage as the humans raided the camp afterwards, likely having been born minutes before the attack (and likely the distraction that added to the humans advantage.) The soldiers considered slaying the 'creature' but one decided it might be fun to parade a "pet" charr around the troops, show them that these were "just animals," so instead she was brought back to camp. She was kept in an animal cage, taken out on a leash when she was younger, but less frequently as she grew. When the soliders would come up near towns and villages they'd let people pay to see the "monster." She heard people say things about her and picked up some of the words, but quickly learned not to repeat them when her keepers could hear them or she'd get sprayed with a hose or beaten. She got used to having things thrown at her from time to time, usually food but sometimes interesting objects. As she grew the humans had an artist carve patterns along her horns that they thought made her look more interesting. Though they less frequently took her out as her quickly increasing size made her more risky. That said, they still used a chain and collar to lead her around at times as a way to brag about their squad's own superiority in taming such a 'beast'. About 11 years or so into this the treaty started to be discussed. Realizing that under such an arrangement keeping a captive charr would likely not be met with approval, and being loyal to the crown, the squad leader looked for a way to dispose of their burden. Mid discussions of auctioning off the right to slay her in front of a crowd, an asura who had been listening offered to solve their problem by buying her outright from them for a might larger profit than they'd likely get out of other soldiers who could easily find charr to slay for free. An agreement was met and the asura returned with a few others and their own mobile cage, bringing her with them to their lab. Part of the Inquest, they wanted to experiment with infusing certain magical energies into beings to see how they reacted, and respecting charr as highly intelligent, after asura of course, they wanted to see how she'd respond to it in comparison to other subjects. They fitted the metal rings to her horns, welding them in place to help conduct the energy, and reduced her claws to nubs for safety. Then they began their tests, which after some variations and much discomfort did seem to infuse her with certain energies. The asura did encourage some speaking on her part, wanting her to answer their questions about the procedures. Further tests were planned, though containment was important due to the unstable nature of her skills. Current Activities: Learning. Whereabouts/Residence: Lost Precipice |
