Show Results: 2012 RFL Spring Show Did Not Place, 2012 RFL Fall Show - 3rd Agouti Self Buck, 2013 RFL Spring Show - 3rd Agouti Buck Notes: Nibbins was the second biggest baby in the litter, with a nice build and good color. He is also a very adventurous and smart little guy, the first to figure out how to work how to get out the door of the cage, and the first to figure out how to jump out of the show box and bins to get back to where the people are and check things out! He has grown into a beautiful big guy with a great personality, and has seemed to evade the genetic respiratory ailment that has hit several of his male relatives. In his last month Nibbins started losing weight rapidly, though he stayed active and inquisitive. He began to show respiratory symptoms - more like a standard respiratory infection than the genetic issue. He didn't respond to treatment and died at home. Necropsy showed his left lung was completely abscessed with no useable tissue, his right lung had a few abscesses with about 60% still functional. He had very little body fat, but all else looked normal. |
