Breeding Status: Bred with Nightwitch - Litter Page Show Results: 2012 RFL Spring Show Did Not Place, 2012 RFL Fall Show - 3rd Agouti Berkshire Buck Notes: Pyewacket was the biggest boy in the litter, and has a wonderful personality. Even before he had his eyes open he was bruxing and boggling when I held him. He's stayed the biggest guy, and is sweet and playful. His color is definitely lighter than we'd prefer, but with his wonderful personality, his size and great conformation, and other positive qualities, he is one of our top boys from the litter. He continues to impress as he's grown, being a big, friendly, laid back guy with a nice build! Sadly, it looks like Pye also inherited his father's respiratory problems, and while he lived a little longer, it hit him suddenly and hard, causing massive muscle mass loss in a short period, and leaving him in respiratory distress. It was with a great deal of pain that we made the decision to put him down to spare him suffering further from the issue. We are hoping we can get a good culture from his lungs to try and find an antibiotic that is effective against whatever it is that is taking the guys from this line from us, so that others might be able to be successfully treated. We are awaiting results of his necropsy and the culture. |
